  • Store format rejig blossoms at Wyevale

    RETAIL WEEK

Wyevale, the UK’s largest garden centre with 115 outlets, is to launch a new retail format next month at its stores at Weybridge in Surrey and Aldridge in the West Midlands. The move follows a year of collaboration with strategic design consultancy ACW headed by Neil Whitehead, during which a complete audit of the retailer’s sales environment and market positioning was carried out. The design will segment the stores into leisure for the home and care for the garden, and the consultancy has developed new in-store communication, identity and merchandising scheme as part of the makeover.

ACW managing director Neil Whitehead said: “This is a solution that will keep the company at the forefront of its industry. Working with a market leader to reinvigorate a traditional area of retail has enabled us to apply our strategic retail and design experience.”
